I’m sitting here with a worldwide smile as I finally get to share with you something I’ve been excited about for a few months. This Sunday, I’ll be flying to Mauritius aka a paradise island in the Indian Ocean off the east coast of Africa for a week with a group of roughly a dozen other bloggers to explore this island and experience all it has to offer…
I’ll be flying to the island direct from London with and the focus of my trip is teeing up on some world class golf courses, learning about this island’s history and hopefully landing the largest fish of my life… Upon arrival I’ll be checking into the lovely where I’ll enjoy an afternoon of water sports and relaxation before playing a round at with some après golf activities the following day.
Next it’s off to to play their Ernie Els designed golf course and unwind in their spa. Seriously, I can’t think of a better way to spend a day and rounds of golf are complimentary for all guests… Following this we’ll be moving to where I’ll reside until I leave. There I’ll be playing another round of golf at which looks sensational.
In the evenings there will be some interesting group activities and besides that I’m finishing up my stay on the island with a complete tea route tour and a big game deep sea fishing session. I was perusing their website and , this might be it ladies and gents… You’ll never know unless you go, right?
Finally, I’m meeting up with a friend of mine from university who lives part of the year on the island for a quick catchup before heading back to London. Truth be told, if I didn’t have commitments for early October I’d be spending another week or so. As you all know I’m a huge fan of remote tropical islands, spas, golf courses and deep sea fishing so this place seems to combine all my passions quite nicely, yes?
Typically I blog a lot while I’m on the road… I’m going to try and do things a bit differently this time by really unwinding and just enjoying this experience while staying active on social media. As a result, I’d like to invite you to tune into the campaign real-time by following the #MyMauritius tag on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. If you’d like to see what everyone else is doing as we’re all covering different areas I invite you to visit the .
This #MyMauritius blog trip was created and managed by the fine people at and in association with the and . I’d like to thank them for the invitation to partake in this campaign; the itinerary speaks for itself and I’m very much looking forward to it!
