What tah gwan?

Jamaica is not just the largest English speaking island in paradise aka the Caribbean, Jamaica is a state of mind… You can feel it from the time your plane starts to break beneath the clouds on your flight in until you break through them once more on the way out. The people I met on my trip left an impression on me, where else on this planet can you say “What tah gwan” to a complete stranger and in turn, he pound his chest saying “Blessed Love” and be sincere?

During my travels in Jamaica I took photos of all the guides and interesting people that we had the pleasure of meeting and getting acquainted with. These photos will give you an idea of the types of interactions and personalities you’ll encounter when you go. As always, natural beauty is what you see first but fades into a pleasant background as the personalities you meet are what build the memories you’ll keep.

If you’ve just found this blog and want to hear more about Jamaica, be sure to check out the following: Video Tour of Iberostar Grand Resort, Bobsledding & Dog-sledding in Ocho Rios, Hiking, Biking and Zip-lining outside Montego Bay, Catamaran Cruise in Negril, Good Morning Montego Bay, Jamaican Boblsed Video and of course Partying at Mango Walk.

Would continue but have 48+ things to do in less than 48 hours.

Blessed Love!

  1. The guy in the wolf mask was quite the random inclusion, ha! Sounds like you are really an excellent time there … where to after this? Solid plans, or blindfold + dart + world map on wall?

    1. @James Shannon Had an awesome time and that guy in the wolf mask was hilarious. A friend of mine wanted to go to Central America so we found a resonable one-way flight from Boston (he lives there) and I get to see my family again. Stay tuned, good sir…

  2. That is so nice that you took photos of the people you encountered in Jamaica. I wish I would have done that. Next time!
