I’m busy, really busy taking care of business like a boss in Victoria, British Columbia. What a spot but enough of that, business needs to be done. Do you think endless world travel is something that just shows up in a fortune cookie? The answer my friends is CLEARLY NOT. I’ve done some serious thinking lately and I’ve concluded that so far, I’ve gotten everything I’ve ever wanted in life AND MORE. So what does one do? They start ordering larger items from the infinite wisdom of the universe as perspiration mixed with determination and a whole lot of faith goes a long long long way….
As I write this eating a big breakfast fit for a bull rider with a side of asparagus to please the artist in me, I’m flipping through windows like a cleaner on the side of the Petronas Towers. Seems like things come in rushes and I’m filling out interviews, completing internet real estate deals via escrow, ordering tones of content for my other projects, watching some inane television in the background, chatting on skype about a redesign for my core business and wondering how I can travel the world but find it impossible to find a pair of shoes that fit!? Hopefully one day I’ll meet a nice lady who enjoys cutting fruit and ensuring I buy proper footwear but until then the grind continues…
I’ve done much more than I ever planned on recently in Victoria and have dedicated today to doing nothing, absolutely nothing. Wow, so glad I’m writing this as I just realized I have a conference call with a my favorite trade-show about our ongoing media partnership. When things are moving they are moving and if you have spent the better half of your life pushing a small ball of snow through a desert hoping it would take on a life of its own, you step it up when it stats rolling or it was all in vain right!?!?
So tomorrow I’m off to Vancouver and the next morning it’s straight to Costa Rica – PURA VIDA BABY! I’ve never been to Costa Rica but I’ve heard good things. I’m getting kinda sick from being run down but signed up for the “Adrenaline Rush” campaign. Basically Costa Rica is giving away $1,000,000 in vacations to Canadians through Facebook because they realize mainstream media is over priced and everyone is online anyways. It’s called “The Gift of Happiness” and luckily they decided to give me the gift because they know I’ll do what I always do and that is scream about it from the tops of iyashinoshigoto Mountain which actually has a pretty high elevation and view of the internet landscape, indeed.
While I’ve been here in Victoria I’ve done a few things including a delicious dinner with my friends, Frisbee golf which at first I thought was for hippies and hipsters with a penchant for nature but I was wrong, it’s actually really fun. I’ve gone swimming in Durrance Lake which was fantastic and freezing as well as practice my putting in the beautiful parks that surround Victoria’s downtown core. That said, it’s getting cold and I needed a sweater for my morning jog, that sucks compared to sunrise on a tropical island in swim trunks, yes?
I’d continue but I’m leaving the country indefinitely in about 36 hours aka it’s time to hustle and hustler harder still.
P.S: Downtown Shine has a dope breakfast. The vegan options are out of this world, especially with a side of bacon…
