Good day,

Was at breakfast when I saw this boardwalk of sorts going towards the ocean, then found myself walking on it. Moments later I had my trusty iphone out and filmed the opening segment. Once on Table Mountain, decided to just film the whole day to give you an idea of what it’s like here in Cape Town.

We took a tour with Escape to the Cape, our guide was beyond gregarious and very knowledgeable. He was also arrested as a political prisoner back in 1990, incredibly interesting gent. After Table Mountain we headed to Hout Bay, Boulders Beach & Cape Point. Stay tuned for a typical update covering this matter tomorrow.

Tips hat,

  1. Oh and could you get any closer to the penguins? Or is that not allowed? I also remember seeing some discovery channel thing on South Africa(cape town area, i believe), where like monkeys or pengiuns actually walk about the the houses in the suburbs. Any knowledge of that?

    1. You can’t leave the boardwalk and other spots the penguins are closer. Actually when we were at the restaurant, some penguin was running across the lawn. They are free but that area is protected / perfect so it’s their main hang out, so to speak.

  2. Absolutely gorgeous footage of Cape Town also known as the Mother City. It’s no wonder their tourism boards slogan is “You don’t need a holiday, you need Cape Town!” Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful city with a rich heritage and diverse culture.

    1. Thank you very much, so easy to get amazing footage in this special place. So glad to be able to experience this magical city, have a feeling this won’t be my last visit.

    1. Yeah, that was random. Love it when I run in to people as friendly as myself. I think she thought I was filming and she walked in.

    1. All you need to do is drive to the base of Table Mountain and there is a cable car. You can also hike it but naturally, not for everyone. Supposedly a hike up and cable car down is quite popular. You could spend an entire day up there, lots to see. We were so lucky to have a perfectly clear day.
