The other day we were leaving Stewart, British Columbia after checking out the Salmon Glacier and we ran into a black bear. The black bear was doing its thing along the side of the highway aka eating grass. Supposedly there are countless in the area but so far we’ve only seen near 10, surprising isn’t it?! We’ve been running into this family from Holland the last few hotels and they’ve seen something like two dozen. That’s wildlife though and like all else in life, timing is everything.
This was the largest black bear I’ve seen. Below is Stewart, the mountains surrounding the city cut the clouds.
